These lyrics popped into my head as fully embodied Mercury in Sagittarius energy. The world traveler, the risk taker, the star-crossed lover. It doesn’t matter if I understand it.
Mercury moved into Sagittarius on November 2, 2024, at 12:17 PM PT and because it’s part of the upcoming Mercury Retrograde he will be in this sign for an extra long time, until January 8, 2025. There will be a full-fledged Mercury Retrograde post when the time comes, but here are the dates below so you can get ahead:
MERCURY RETROGRADE PRE-SHADOW: November 7, 2024
MERCURY RETROGRADE: November 25 through December 15, 2024
MERCURY RETROGRADE POST-SHADOW: January 2, 2025
This Mercury Retrograde period will take place between 6° through 22° of Sagittarius, so take a look at the Sagittarius section of your chart. Also wherever you have planets between 6°-22° in Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) will also be seeing a lot of action! Let’s talk (talk) about Mercury in Sagittarius and what to expect while our communication planet is in the sign of the Centaur. Mercury is not as comfortable in Sagittarius (opposite the nature of Gemini: quick and succinct). Mercury in Sagittarius has so much to say. Too much to say! They have so much to say, they may say nothing at all. You wouldn’t get it. It may not even make sense verbally. I wish I could tell everyone with Mercury in Sagittarius the “it doesn’t matter if I understand it” message. While Mercury is in Sagittarius we are asked to learn by experience. Sagittarians in general can get stuck in analysis paralysis. They are bursting with ideas, creativity, and business ventures. They are the idea guys. But sometimes life will ask them to be the production guys and that’s where things can freeze. We also are going to experience this Sagittarius Mercury time with a Retrograde cycle. During this Retrograde, be prepared to examine where you get stuck in the idea phase and what new habits, rituals, or other various breakthroughs are needed to see action be taken and pen put to paper. This is also a perfect space to remind y’all to back up any technology and brace yourself for device snafus or scheduling mixups.
On a more sexy note, Sagittarius Mercury may encourage you to say “fuck it” more times than not.
